Dustin S Coren, DVM

Dr. Coren brings to the team a fully integrative approach to veterinary performance and wellness medicine.

As co-founder of Equalign in 2005 after completing his BS in cellular biology at Cornell University, his rigorous science-based background helped to establish the initial therapeutic approaches to horse and rider alignment. He obtained his veterinary degree from the Univeristy of Illinois' College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and pursued his passion for integrative medicine by completing the basic and advanced equine acupuncture courses at the Chi Institute of Reddick, FL. Through these experiences and apprenticing in equine and canine manual manipulation techniques under partners Drs. Coren and Lundquist, Dustin has been able to offer a broad perspective to his patients and clients when considering diagnostic and therapeutic options for various biomechanical issues as well as internal medicine, allergenic, behavioral, and chronic conditions. Through integration of traditional Western medicine with classical Eastern and advanced mechanical manipulation patients are regarded in a holistic fashion with consideration for immediate performance and lifelong wellbeing.

In addition to his ambulatory practice, Dustin co-operates an equine retirement/rehab and training facility in NY's central Hudson Valley along with his spouse, Kelly, a classically trained hunter/jumper rider and trainer and lifelong horsewoman. When not working with horses, he can be found hiking with his wife and dogs, and learning the joys and intricacies of organic farming.
